Organic or biological cotton is cotton that is grown, produced, processed and certified according to organic agricultural standards. Its production supports the health of the environment, the ecosystem and people, promoting the use of natural processes and substances rather than artificial, chemical and toxic ones and combining tradition and scientific innovation to promote sustainability and quality of life. To produce a single cotton t-shirt, approximately 2,700 liters of water are currently used. To better understand, just think that it is the same amount of water that an adult drinks in 2 and a half years of life. If you consider that approximately 63 t-shirts are produced in the world every second, you can imagine how enormous this water consumption is. A regenerated fabric, such as cotton, maintains the same characteristics of the original product but with significant savings in terms of environmental impact.
